smb - Trampolines / Jumping devices - Practical handbook.

Introduction

This practical handbook is intended to support you in your planning activities and explain the specifica tions from DIN EN 1176-1:2017-12 Part 4.2.16 et seq. „Bouncing facilities“ in a practical and under standable way. The standard - room for interpretation For more than 25 years, we have been designing and manufacturing floor trampolines for play-grounds and public spaces in our manufactory. We there fore expressly welcome the fact that the current version of DIN EN 1176 deals with jumping devices for the first time. In addition to many concrete defi nitions, however, the standard also offers room for interpretation in some passages, which can lead to planning uncertainty and discussions with experts. In installation situations that include a series of jumping devices and/or a slope, we see ambigui ties with regard to a possible specified jumping di rection. In the current version of the text, a jumping direction is mentioned, but this is not explained in more detail by giving examples of use, such as by

naming a specific number of small jumping devices with a clear arrangement that would lead to a jump direction, or the definition of inclination angles of a slope. As a responsible company with years of experien ce in innovative jumping device construction, we have therefore decided to design the free spaces for our jumping devices in such a way that they can be accepted as conforming to standards in any situation. With the installation situations and definitions de scribed in this manual, we would like to support you during project development and contribute to a clear basis for discussion with safety experts - true to our motto: safely have fun, for sure!

We will be happy to assist you with any questions that you may have.
