Stephan Lenzen

Stephan Lenzen, geb. 1967 in Köln, ist Landschaftsar chitekt und seit April 2022 Präsident des bdla. Nach seiner Ausbildung zum Gärtner und beru fl icher Tätigkeit in Italien und Frankreich studierte er von 1993 bis 1997 an der GHS Essen Landschaftsarchitektur. 1999 begann er seine Mitarbeit im Büro RMP Landschaftsarchitek ten, das er 2004 als Inhaber übernahm, inzwischen mit Niederlassungen in Köln, Hamburg, Mannheim und Berlin. Zwischen 2004 und 2021 war Stephan Lenzen Mitglied in den Gestaltungsbeiräten der Städte Köln, Aachen, Mainz und Trier. Seit 2006 ist er Mitglied im Sachverständigenausschuss der Architektenkammer Nordrhein-Westfalen. Im Jahr 2014 wurde er zum Vize präsidenten des bdla gewählt. Seit 2015 lehrt er an der FH Dortmund; 2021 wurde Stephan Lenzen zum Hono rarprofessor der FH Dortmund berufen. Seit 2016 ist er Mitglied im Gestaltungsbeirat der Stadt Neuss sowie im wissenschaftlichen Beirat der Deutschen Stadt- und Grundstücksentwicklungsgesellschaft. 2020 begann er seine Mitarbeit im Gestaltungsrat der Stadt Potsdam. Regelmäßig ist Stephan Lenzen als Preisrichter in Wett bewerbsverfahren tätig. Stephan Lenzen, born 1967 in Cologne, is a landscape architect and president of the bdla. After training as a gardener and working in Italy and France, he studied land scape architecture at GHS Essen from 1993 to 1997. He joined the landscape practice RMP in 1999, became its principal in 2004 and established branch of fi ces in Cologne, Hamburg, Mannheim and Berlin. Stephan Len zen served as a member on the architectural advisory board for the cities of Cologne, Aachen, Mainz and Trier from 2004 to 2021 and has been a member of the expert committee at the North Rhine Westphalia Cham ber of Architects since 2006. He was elected vice presi dent of the bdla in 2014. In 2015, he took up a teaching position at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts. In 2016, he joined the architectural advisory board for the city of Neuss and the scienti fi c advisory board for the Deutsche Stadt- und Grundstücksentwicklungsge sellschaft. He began serving on the architectural advisory board for the city of Potsdam in 2020. In 2021, Stephan Lenzen was appointed honorary professor at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts. He regularly serves on competition juries.

Gesa Loschwitz-Himmel ist Landschaftsarchitektin ByAK und freie Fachjournalistin. Sie studierte Landschafts architektur an der Universität Hannover und arbeite te anschließend in einem Landschaftsarchitekturbüro in Leipzig. Von 2000 bis 2016 war sie Redakteurin der Zeitschriften Garten + Landschaft und Topos. Sie schreibt heute als freie Journalistin für diese Zeitschrif ten, außerdem für „Landschaftsarchitekten“ des bdla und Baumeister. Ihr besonderes Interesse gilt der Entwick lung der Stadt und dem öffentlichen Raum. Von 2007 bis 2009 war sie Mitglied im Projektbeirat zum Forschungs projekt „Hybride Räume“ von Klaus Selle an der RWTH Aachen, von 2008 bis 2010 Mitglied der Projektgruppe zur Weiterentwicklung des Grüngürtels Frankfurt am Main. 2017, 2019 und 2021 war sie Mitglied der Jury zum Deutschen Landschaftsarchitektur-Preis des bdla. Gesa Loschwitz-Himmel is a landscape architect and a freelance journalist. She studied landscape architecture at the Universität Hannover and then worked for a land scape practice in Leipzig. From 2000 to 2016, she was editor of the professional journals Garten + Landschaft and Topos. Now she writes as a freelance journalist for these magazines and for the bdla’s Landschafts architekten and Baumeister. Her main interest is the development of cities and the urban realm. She was a member on the advisory board for the ‘Hybrid Spaces’ research project by Klaus Selle at the RWTH Aachen, and from 2008 to 2010 a member of the project group for the development of the greenbelt in Frankfurt am Main. In 2017, 2019 and 2021, she served on the jury for the German Landscape Architecture Award of the bdla.
